Cybercriminals continue to target people rather than infrastructure to siphon sensitive organisational data. And more often than not, they’re using email and cloud-based attacks as their vector of choice.
In fact, Proofpoint’s 2022 State of the Phish report charts a sharp rise in email-based phishing attacks – with 83% of survey respondents revealing their organisation experienced at least one successful email-based phishing attack in 2021, up from 57% in 2020. At the same time, the report revealed that there’s relatively low employee awareness of common cybersecurity terminology and types of attacks across the board.
To deal with the people-focused threats organisations are facing, employees need to be aware and educated on the types of threats they face, how to spot them and what to do if they are targeted.
To address this, Proofpoint has launched a new survey tool to help partners to identify the security posture of their customer’s employees and their training needs.
The Proofpoint Security Awareness Survey is a powerful, easy-to-use tool that enables partners who are certified and specialised in Proofpoint Security & Awareness Training (PSAT) to generate, qualify and nurture leads. The survey is quick to complete for customers’ employees (5 to 10 minutes on average) and simple to run. It’s an efficient data-driven way to pinpoint gaps in security awareness that need to be addressed to keep your customer’s people, data and organisation safe.
Running the survey is a highly effective way to measure IT users’ levels of awareness in any organisation. Including how up to date their cybersecurity and compliance knowledge is, whether they feel informed in their roles and if they could pose a potential threat to their organisation.
The customer’s results will also be compared with Proofpoint’s global security awareness benchmarks by industry, region and department. This is vital evidence and insight for focusing budgets and deciding whether Proofpoint Security & Awareness Training (PSAT) is right for your customer. Each PSAT Survey is branded with the partner’s logo, and it generates talking points where partners can offer tailored advice based on your PSAT-certified status.
The survey is currently available to partners across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
