June is a month-long global celebration of Pride every year in many countries. While as a company we stand with the LGBTQIA+ community every day, we join the world each June to recognize and celebrate the importance of inclusion and diversity at Proofpoint and in our communities.
When we draw on the wisdom of a workforce recruited from all segments of society, we are better able to understand and meet the needs of our employees and customers. Earlier this year we made a significant step in our diversity, equity, and inclusion journey with the launch of Proofpoint’s inaugural nine Employee Inclusion Groups (EIGs). Each group, including Proofpoint Pride, is already cultivating compelling conversations, workshops and activities that empower our employees to learn from one another and express their authentic selves. Not only does this make us a better company, it makes us a better society.
This month, we are excited to share our inaugural Pride at Proofpoint blog series. Each week will feature an employee member or ally of the LGBTQIA+ community.
