New integration embeds Proofpoint’s API-based advanced email threat detection into the Microsoft security console for stronger, defense-in-depth protection

SUNNYVALE, Calif., October 26, 2026 – Proofpoint Inc., a global leader in human and agent cybersecurity, today announced it is joining the Microsoft Defender for Office 365 Integrated Cloud Email Security (ICES) vendor ecosystem. The new integration enables Microsoft 365 customers to layer Proofpoint’s market-leading Core Email Protection API into their existing Microsoft security environment and view Proofpoint detections directly within the Microsoft Defender portal.

This milestone builds on Proofpoint’s growing integration with Microsoft services and extends that interoperability into the ICES ecosystem to deliver a more unified security experience.
