Mark is a Principal Research Analyst in the S&P Global 451 Research cyber security research team based in Denver, Colorado, USA. He focuses on cyber security with an emphasis on cloud security, security operations and AI/ML. Mark has over 20 years of cyber security experience plus a decade in software development and many years in computer networking. Before joining S&P Global in 2022, Mark spent 12.5 years at IBM including three years in BigFix endpoint management product marketing, four years as a QRadar SIEM product manager, and six years leading security sales enablement across IBM’s $1Bn threat management product family. He also spent 4 years as an industry analyst at Enterprise Management Associates (EMA). In his time at S&P, Mark has delivered go-to-market projects and contributed to S&P’s 451 Research team in areas including SIEM, secure access service edge (SASE), network security, private key infrastructures (PKIs), AI, continuous security validation, and threat modeling.

With over 30 years in IT and cybersecurity, Gary’s career spans support within advertising, finance, and healthcare sectors. Starting with an engineering background from Texas A&M and Texas Tech, Gary stumbled into IT by chance and have since become largely self-taught. His expertise has grown through active participation in five awareness peer groups, including one with international reach. This journey from accidental IT encounters to becoming a seasoned cybersecurity professional showcases his adaptability and dedication to the evolving digital landscape.

Dr. Bob Hausmann is currently the Manager of Learning Architecture & Assessments at Proofpoint, Inc. He received his PhD in Cognitive Psychology in 2005 from the University of Pittsburgh under the direction of Dr. Michelene T.H. Chi. He received additional training at the Pittsburgh Science of Learning Center (PSLC) as a post-doctoral fellow with Dr. Kurt VanLehn and Dr. Timothy J. Nokes-Malach. Dr. Bob publishes a blog entitled, Dr. Bob's Cog Blog, and he is the author of the book, Cognitive Science for Educators: Practical suggestions for an evidence-based classroom. The unifying theme that runs throughout his career is the use of technology and principles from cognitive science to enhance educational outcomes for individual students. In his spare time, Dr. Bob enjoys long-distance running, mountain biking, and traveling with his wife.

Paul is a Sr. Product Marketing Manager at Proofpoint. He joined Proofpoint as a highly experienced cybersecurity professional with over 20 years of expertise in roles such as Product Manager, Systems Engineer, and Product Marketer, working at many other well-known cybersecurity companies throughout Silicon Valley. Having witnessed the ever-evolving nature of cyber threats, Paul firmly believes that there is no silver bullet in the realm of cybersecurity and recognizes that a holistic approach of technology and education is essential. He serves to tell the story that emphasizes the importance of security awareness as a key component in protecting organizations against latest threats.
